We are a welcoming theatre community where kids build confidence, express themselves, and dream big.
At our youth theatre company, we believe the stage is more than a place to perform, it’s a powerful platform for growth, connection, and transformation. Theatre uniquely teaches culture, morals, teamwork, dedication, and accountability; lessons that reach far beyond the script. Through the creative process of putting on a show, kids learn how to listen, collaborate, problem-solve, and show up for one another. These are life skills that build strong character and confident hearts.
But most of all, it’s fun. From the first read-through to the final curtain call, we believe in creating a joyful, welcoming environment where kids can truly be themselves, explore big ideas, and take creative risks without fear. Every rehearsal, every role, and every performance is a chance for young performers to grow in confidence, courage, and community.
There is nothing more rewarding than taking kids on the journey of a show, watching them stretch, shine, and surprise even themselves. It’s an incredible privilege to be part of their stories and to witness their transformation into dynamic, expressive, and empowered individuals. Who We Are
Jennifer Hammond
Co-Founder | Creative Director
At an early age, Jennifer knew she wanted to be an actress, taking the stage every chance she got. Born and raised in California, she thrived at a performing arts high school in Huntington Beach. Knowing acting was her true passion, she followed her heart to New York and continued developing her craft at AMDA (American Musical Dramatic Academy) earning her BFA in musical theatre.
At the beginning of her career, Jennifer spent many years performing at Disneyland, Universal Studios (LA and Orlando), and Universal Studios Singapore. She has appeared in national commercials, and you may have seen her on some of your favorite TV shows. Her love of travel led her to take her talent to the sea as a main stage performer on the Disney Cruise Line. Since then, she has been seen in national tours across the country, as well as performing at many regional and New York theatres.
After a rewarding professional career touring, Jennifer decided to take a break from traveling around the world to raise a family. She started giving back to the community by dedicating her time to schools to help fund and start theatre programs, making theatre accessible to everyone. Bringing her passion to children has carried over into years of teaching, choreographing, and directing, and now into opening a youth theatre. Jennifer believes theatre can teach children many valuable life lessons, both on and off the stage. Most importantly, gaining the confidence needed to find your unique voice, become an excellent storyteller, and pursue your passion.
Brenna Ring
Co-Founder | Choreography
A lifelong lover of the performing arts, Brenna is passionate about helping young people discover confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging through theatre.
Her love of dance began at an early age and became a lifelong passion when she began training seriously at eleven years old. By fifteen, she had founded a dance ministry at her church and later choreographed school recitals, pep rallies, and special events while serving as captain of her high school's cheer squad. As a company member at her dance studio, she continued developing her skills before furthering her dance training in college.
In addition to her artistic background, Brenna brings an entrepreneurial spirit and years of business experience to Dynamic Youth Theatre. As COO, she oversees the organization's daily operations while helping shape productions through choreography and creative collaboration.
Dynamic Youth Theatre was born after Brenna met Jennifer and began assisting with the drama program at their children's local hybrid school. Together, they recognized the need for a youth theatre company that would provide exceptional training and performance opportunities for families in their community.
Watching her own children grow through theatre has been one of Brenna's greatest inspirations. Seeing their confidence, friendships, and love for the arts flourish reinforced her belief that theatre has the power to transform lives. She is honored to help create a place where every child is encouraged to dream big, grow boldly, and discover their unique voice.
Alana Murdock
Vocal Director
Alana Murdock is a theatre educator, actress, and vocalist with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Young Harris College, currently pursuing her MAT. With 4 years of camp theatre teaching experience and undergraduate training in vocal pedagogy, she's thrilled to join DYT.
As an actress, her credits include Thea in Spring Awakening and several roles at Young Harris, including leads in Cuckoo, The Moors, Vanities, and Jerry's Girls. After completing her Master's, she plans to teach in a traditional classroom while continuing community-based performing arts work, expanding opportunities for kids across metro Atlanta.
When she's not on stage, Alana enjoys rock climbing, guitar, and painting. She's a certified Lifeguard (American Red Cross), Challenge Course Instructor, and holds several Georgia teaching certifications. She can't wait to help create a safe, exciting, unforgettable experience.
Corina Cumbie
Theatre Instructor (MainStage Minis)
Corina grew up in Central Florida, where she discovered her love of the performing arts at just six years old. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she performed in both community and professional theatre productions while training extensively in dance and voice. Those experiences fostered a lifelong passion for storytelling and gave her the confidence, creativity, and communication skills that continue to influence every aspect of her life.
Although Corina's professional career led her into the animal care field, her passion for theatre never faded. She has worked with a wide variety of animals including dolphins, sea lions, penguins, wolves, and dogs, and currently serves as a Puppy Advisor for Guide Dog Foundation and America's VetDogs, supporting volunteer puppy raisers throughout Florida and Georgia.
Returning to the theatre feels like coming home. Corina is thrilled to share her love of the performing arts with the next generation, helping young performers build confidence, develop their creativity, and discover the joy of bringing stories to life both on and off the stage.
Lauren Hart
Stage Manager
Lauren Hart is excited to return to Dynamic Youth Theatre for Beetlejuice Jr. after making her stage management debut with the company's inaugural production of James and the Giant Peach Jr. She quickly discovered a love for the fast paced world behind the scenes and is thrilled to continue helping bring productions to life.
Lauren is a graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Mass Media. Her background in live sports broadcasting and media production has equipped her with the organization, communication, and problem solving skills that are essential to successful stage management. She has experience operating professional video and audio equipment, managing live production elements, and collaborating with production teams to deliver seamless live events.
When she's not with DYT, Lauren enjoys mentoring young people through youth ministry, where she leads weekly classes and helps coordinate events for students. She is grateful to be part of the Dynamic Youth Theatre family and is excited to help bring the wonderfully strange world of Beetlejuice Jr. to the stage.
Danielle Lusian
Vocal Instructor
Danielle Lusian is a singer, actor, dancer, and voice teacher, and she is thrilled to serve as the Vocal Director for Dynamic Youth Theatre’s production of James and the Giant Peach Jr.
Danielle previously worked as Music Director for Alice in Wonderland and Frozen Jr. at Adairsville’s Drama Camp. She has a deep passion for musical theatre and for teaching vocal technique to young performers, helping children build confidence, healthy singing habits, and a love for the art of storytelling through music.
In addition to teaching, Danielle is a Musical Theatre major with a Dance minor at Reinhardt University. Some of her favorite performance credits include, Jane Doe in Ride the Cyclone, the Queen of Hearts in Alice By Heart, June in Gypsy, and Rapunzel in Into the Woods.
Outside of the theatre, Danielle enjoys playing guitar, songwriting, and sewing. She is excited to be part of the creative team and to help bring this wonderful production to life.
